What’s the worst experience you’ve ever had, as a consumer, in a store/restaurant/business? Here’s mine:

I went to an “Aveda” salon in a “hoity-toity” neighborhood, which just happens to be where I LIVE. I was getting a ton of stuff done to my hair because, as the mother of SIX, I rarely have time to myself. I decided to go comfy because this was MY day. (Yoga pants and shirt but MY DAY so I’ll wear what I want). My stylist was really sweet but the stylist who was working next to her was helping her with pricing, etc because mine was new to that salon. So I told my stylist I wanted a cut, full highlights and a Brazillian Blow-out (for all of you men out there it’s to have it straightened temporarily; costs about $300 on top of the other services). The stylist next to mine immediately stopped what she was doing and came over and looked at me and said “do you even have enough money to pay for that?” She actually had a client in her chair who overheard it all…Still just thinking about it brings back a myriad of feelings from anger to humiliation. For the record, I had PLENTY of money to pay for that and whatever else I wanted to do on my day. Needless to say, no one at that salon will be getting another penny of my money again, ever.

The moral of the story is obviously, not to judge a book by it’s cover and if you don’t have anything nice to say…stay home.

Now, your turn! Post below in the comments and help me to know that I (and Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman) are not alone…
